Attention Biker Friends:
Arkansas State Police said Stacy J. Smart (47) of Olathe, KS died in a
motorcycle accident on Hwy 62 Friday night.
Troopers said it happened just outside of Eureka Springs in Carroll County.
The police report said Smart was traveling East on the highway and was
negotiating a right-hand curve when he lost control and crossed the center line
into the path of a dump truck.
Smart was wearing a helmet.
Stacey J. Smart, 47, Olathe, KS, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 in Eureka
Springs, AR. Stacey was born December 11, 1963 in Los Angeles,
CA, to Bob and Shirley Smart. He was a carpenter and custom home builder in the
Kansas City area for many years. He will be remembered for his practical jokes
and for being a kid at heart. He was passionate about motorcycles and riding
with friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Candy. He is survived by
his wife of 22 years, Kristy, of the home; and his daughter, Lauren; his
parents, Bob and Shirley Smart; sister, Debbie; 4 brothers: Rocky, Daryl, Tim,
and Bruce; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. To leave a
